ABOUT
This page is a collection of all NAS-hacking-communities i found so far on the net.
It is always listed which devices they are hacking on.
Other communities are encouraged to link to this page as it makes it much
easier for users to find the right community for the hardware they own.
In case you know a missing community, contact me (mindbender over at the buffalo forums or the general nas-central.org forums).

NAS Central is the shared effort of hobbyists and linux enthusiasts from the former linkstationwiki.net community and the well known nslu2-linux.org that was initialized by a hosting problem. Because of the extremely successful donation drive in 2007 we were able to buy a new shared server which is located at osuosl.org. Several vendor specific subwikis are accessable from the main portal together with an average traffic NAS community news blog and general vendor independent howtos.

Additionally i started a General NAS Customisation Page. Check it out and help getting it more complete so other hobbyists have an easier future!

Main IRC channel: #nas-central at freenode

Our currently most important projects:
- Linux Kernel support for Marvell Orion-1/Orion-NAS/Orion-2 based NAS devices
- Gathering specific information for various NAS devices and documenting them in the wikis.
